Sitrin's NeuroCare Program is the first & only one of its kind in Upstate New York to provide specialized care and support services for individuals affected by ALS and Huntington’s Disease (HD). Sitrin also provides respite care; ideal for individuals who are unable to stay at home, while their caregivers are away. This unique alternative offers a customized approach to those affected by ALS or HD, and features 24-hour skilled health care services, physical, occupational, speech, and recreational therapy, as well as beauty/barber services. Sitrin’s NeuroCare has recently expanded to offer a comprehensive outpatient clinic.

ALS of Utica is dedicated to raising awareness and improving the quality of life for individuals battling ALS in Oneida & Herkimer Counties, by providing assistance in finding support services. Services include estate, Medicaid coverage assistance, support groups, and no-cost medical equipment for those in need. Over the years, ALS of Utica have held fundraising galas, run/walks, raffles, and golf tournaments. As a result, local individuals diagnosed with ALS, and their loved ones, have significantly benefited during the difficult process.

Baseball has a special connection to ALS, as it has also become known as "Lou Gehrig's Disease," after the baseball legend was diagnosed more than 75 years ago. The Utica Blue Sox have paired with Sitrin & ALS of Utica to raise awareness about the condition. 

The Utica Blue Sox are one of 10 ball clubs in the Upstate New York region that play in a wooden bat summer league known as the “Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League” (PGCBL). The team is mostly comprised of D1 college and university players from around the country. Each team plays an eight-week, 46-game schedule from June to July with playoffs and a championship game in early August.
